Dr. Robb Sheneberger

Robb Sheneberger is an HIV Clinical Specialist physician. He has been serving as the Head of Secretariat for the African-led HIV Control Working Group (HCWG) since July 2023. He served as the Country Director for the University of Maryland, living in Zambia from 2004 to 2023, and continues to reside in Zambia. 

He provided direct technical assistance to the MOH that led to Zambia being Africa’s first country to adopt tenofovir as first-line therapy, replacing stavudine, and pushed for strong community DSD programs, test and treat, and universal ART in PMTCT in Zambia. He established an infectious disease training program at the University Teaching Hospital and has mentored numerous HIV leaders who continue to advance HIV care and treatment. He directed the CARE Clinic in Long Beach, California, under the Ryan White Care Act from 1994-2004.
