Francisco Mbofana is the Executive Secretary of Mozambique’s National AIDS Council since June 2017 and Chair of Country Coordinating Mechanism of Global Fund since 2020. He served as National Director of Public Health between 2013 and 2017 and Scientific Director of Mozambique’s National Institute of Health (INS) 2009 to 2013. He is a lecturer in the Department of Community Health, School of Medicine, Eduardo Mondlane University. He received his Medical Degree from the Eduardo Mondlane University in Mozambique in 1995 and his Master in International Health from the University of Copenhagen in Denmark in 2005.
